Sizing: If you’re not sure which size to choose, check the measurements charts https://midnightsewer.com/measurements-charts/

Scroll to the bottom of the post to download the pattern, it’s available in A4 and A0 formats. You can turn off the layers in Adobe Acrobat and print just the one you want. It will be easier to see the correct lines

Start with printing the first page and make sure the test box is 5 x 5 cm.
You can try printing on different paper format but always select printing to 100%. Let me know if you have any issues.

Always try to make a toile before cutting through your favourite fabric.

Instructions (this is my preferred method, you can do it differently):

Cut all the pieces. Overlock or zigzag bottom edges of facings. Cut also your ties.

With right sides facing sew side seams. Press with iron. As we will have ties at the bottom you can leave a gap. I didn’t and unpicked part of the seam afterwards instead.

Sew crotch seam with right sides facing. Press the seam.

Sew sides of the facings together. Press with iron.

Sew sides of the facings together. Press with iron.

Turn the facings to the inside and press with iron. Topstitch in place. Remember to leave a channel for the elastic at the back.

Feed the elastic through. Secure it to the side seam with vertical stitch in the ditch

Overlock the front top edge. Fold it along the fold line and topstitch. Feed your neck tie through. My ties are just strips of jersey, folded like a bias tape and topstitched.

Overlock the leg openings, fold the fabric to the inside and topstitch in place. You can now see where I unpicked the seams.

Feed your ties through and tie them at the ends. Voila, your romper is now ready 🙂
